What is a watershed? A watershed is a way to describe the land that drains into a water body: a creek, stream, pond, lake or river.  The boundaries of the watershed are the highlands, typically ridges, and the water bodies are found in the lowlands. The degree to which the land changes in elevation is a large determinant of the species of plants and animals in it.

WAWA co-sponsored the first annual West End 5K Run and Community Celebration held at the newly renovated Gordon White Park (White Street and Ralph David Abernathy Blvd) on the morning of Saturday October 18, 2008.
