WAWA has long been at the forefront of efforts to educate communities, schools, and neighbors on the importance of greenspace, overall environmental quality and its connection to human health. Through the recently signed Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Atlanta to revitalize the Atlanta Outdoor Activity Center (OAC) and partnerships with conservation organizations like the National Wildlife Federation (NWF), WAWA has continued its efforts to raise awareness and protection for the West Atlanta watersheds, its urban forests, and increase environmental education and service learning programs for youth of all ages.
