On March 28, 2009, from 9am- 12pm, WAWA hosted Georgia Power/Southern Company for a service day at the Outdoor Activity Center. Nearly 30 Georgia Power employees attended and were led by David M. Stewart, Community Development Director, who also previously served as a board member for the Outdoor Activity Center.

In three (3) hours, Georgia Power employees accomplished the following tasks:

• OAC boardroom: wood bookcases and shelving were cleaned and polished. Contents of shelves were reorganized.
• OAC main assembly room: wood walls were cleaned and polished. Flourescent light bulbs were provided and replaced (compact, T12). Corner storage room was cleaned and reorganized.
• Basement: Racks were constructed for tool storage.
• Custodial work: All floors, bathrooms, and kitchen were cleaned
